Technical Sergeant Kenneth F Soper

Technical Sergeant Kenneth F. SoperTechnical Sergeant Kenneth F. Soper, horn, hails from Commack, New York. He received his bachelors degree from Yale University, and, while doing graduate work at the Peabody Institute, Sergeant Soper won a position with The United States Navy Band in Washington D.C.  After completing his naval service, Sergeant Soper won positions with the Maryland Symphony and the National Chamber Orchestra.  As a member of the Ocean City “Pops” Orchestra, he began to work in the pit orchestras of Atlantic City with headliners like Tony Bennett, Lorna Luft, and Jerry Vale.  From 1995 to 2003, Kenneth performed with the Washington Winds where he recorded albums for Warner Brothers, Carl Fischer, and FJH Music.  Sergeant Soper returned to military service in 2001 with the 257th Army National Guard Band, where he performed as a soloist, co-principal horn, and served as staff arranger.  Sergeant Soper joined the USAF Academy Band in October 2003 and performs with Rampart Winds and the concert band.
