Master Sergeant Jerome J Oddo

MSgt Jerome OddoMaster Sergeant Jerome J. Oddo, bass, hails from Detroit, Michigan.  He graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School in 1990, and attended Daytona Beach Community College with an initial study of Hospitality Management, later changing to Music.  Sergeant Oddo auditioned and was accepted into the Air Force Field Band program in 1994.  His first duty assignment was Robins AFB, Georgia. While at this assignment he sang and played bass in Reserve Generation. Later he was assigned to the Protocol group High Flight, at Robins AFB, where he also performed and recorded with the concert band and jazz ensemble.  In 1998 Sergeant Oddo was reassigned to the Air Force Band of the Pacific at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska.  He performed in the Greatlanders Show Band where he played electric/acoustic bass and sang lead and background vocals.  Sergeant Oddo joined The United States Air Force Academy Band in February 2000. He has performed with Lari White, Mila Mason, Crystal Gail, Bud Shank and Christ Church Mass Choir, Nashville, TN. He has studied with Jeff Berlin, Kim Stone, Mariam Delapp, Tom Thorsen and Jim Graves.  He is the bassist and vocalist for Wild Blue Country. Seargent Oddo has received two Commendation Medals and one Achievement Medal.
