Masztalerz
Master Sergeant Janusz S. Masztalerz, audio engineer, is a native of Poland. He graduated from Chopin's Academy of Music in Warsaw in June 1990, receiving his Master of Arts degree in Sound Engineering and Music Production. After graduation, Sergeant Masztalerz worked as Audio Engineer for the Polish National Television Network and the Polish Army Representative Band and Ensemble. In 1991, he began his postgraduate studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music, the Netherlands, expanding his knowledge in the field of digital recordings and MIDI systems. The turning point in Sergeant Masztalerz's professional career was his internship at Carnegie Hall Recording Studio in New York City, made possible thanks to the educational grant he received from the Audio Engineering Society. While in New York, he also worked as a music teacher for St. Anthony-St. Alphonsus School in Brooklyn, and as recording engineer for the Polish and Slavic Television Network. Sergeant Masztalerz joined The United States Air Force Academy Band in July 1997. In 2006 he was deployed to the Middle East and Afghanistan providing technical support for The USAF Academy Band Wild Blue Country.
