Master Sergeant Randy
D French
Master Sergeant Randy D. French was born and raised in Pembroke, New Hampshire and graduated from Pembroke Academy High School. Randy joined the Air Force in 1988 and was assigned as a Vehicle Operator. His first duty station was George AFB, California, where he was awarded the GINO Award, given to the top-notch airman on the base. In 1989 he was sent to Ramstein AB, Germany, where he was awarded the first and only Outstanding Sponsor Award. He was then stationed at Shemya AFB, Alaska, for a one-year remote tour in 1992, followed by an assignment to Eglin AFB, Florida, in 1993. While at Eglin, Randy had the opportunity to shuttle athletes in support of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. In addition to his other awards, he has received Outstanding Airman Awards from his first three assignments. In September 1996, he was assigned to The United States Air Force Academy Band.
