Technical Sergeant Tim Blake

TSgt Tim BlakeTSgt Tim Blake, percussion, is a native of Binghamton, NY. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the New England Conservatory, where he studied with Vic Firth, and his Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Buster Bailey. His other teachers include Fred Buda, Gordon Gottlieb, Frank Epstein, and Jerry Leake. He has performed with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, the New England Philharmonic, the Chautauqua Symphony, and the Lincoln Center Institute. Prior to his assignment to The USAF Academy Band, he was a member of the USAF Band of Liberty at Hanscom AFB, MA and the US Air Forces in Europe Band at Sembach, Gemany.  His awards include the Air Force Commendation Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Force Achievement Medal, the National Service Defense Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.  Sergeant Blake performs with the concert band, marching band, and Solaris.
